Founder :: Creative Director
I'm fascinated by ways of communication - foreign languages, secret codes - and how to make them work best. I see two ways of doing this. One is being efficient with language. The other is circumventing language completely through other modes of creative expression.
I founded Neuron on this basis. Creativity is the greatest thing about being human and I'm proud to help showcase that through my team.
As well as being a word-player and linguist, I love to paint and sketch; life drawing is my favourite. So much can be communicated with a flourish of charcoal!
Head of Post-Production
My visual approach is about making sense of information at speed, whether that's a glance at a still image or absorbing thousands of frames in a film. Each one is as important.
I make use of a huge range of tech to develop my work, but always come back to human principles and never let generative processing take over.
Aside from creating visual art, I build custom processing setups and have a keen interest in emerging technologies as well as the cultural theory of how we work alongside them.
Composer :: Producer
I grew up in a musical family, where I taught myself to play piano and studied jazz in detail. From there I moved into electronic music and signed with Audio Network, creating tracks for some of the world's biggest brands.
Alongside my commercial success I've released two albums and one EP which received critical acclaim and reached the top three of Spotify’s UK Viral Chart.
I love writing music and creating audio identities for film, TV and brands, enabling them to connect with their audience through sound.
Photographic Artist
I first picked up a 35mm camera as a child, after watching my dad's slideshows of family holidays. I started taking photos of friends skateboarding in Brighton at 15, then went on to study photography to degree level. Over the years I've assisted some incredible photographers in London and have been shooting my own commercial work since 2011.
The time to indulge in making new images and meeting other creative people is a real luxury. Collaboration and the conversations that lead up to a production can be the most exciting part, and sometimes it feels like I'm only at the beginning.
Head of Cinematography
My cinematography background includes BAFTA-nominated features, luxury brands and moody music videos.
As an enthusiast for all things film tech, I like to be first with new tools and techniques. I even work with some of the major cinema equipment manufacturers to test and launch products.
I'm also a screenwriter who always has plenty of ideas in development, including one script currently funded by the BFI.
Producer :: Animator
I love stories told visually with emotional impact, solving tough problems under pressure, and developing an idea into a finished product. Being a video producer combines all these things, as well as letting me work with new and interesting people, which satisfies my extravert side.
As an animator, I get to dig into my inner introvert, and enjoy constantly learning new skills and techniques.
I also write fiction and music, and am one half of electronic music act Cardiogram.
Writer :: Creative
As well as commercial copywriting and SEO, I’ve written novels, radio plays and short fiction. I love developing fresh or unusual ideas and bouncing them off others to see where they can go, and what form they should take.
I’ve directed short films and music videos, and I’m often on set at film shoots to help guide creative concepts and make those all-important subtle tweaks to details.
As well as written and spoken words, I write songs and am the lead singer and guitarist of band Failed Authors.
